Everyone in my house has the same cold.
All of us are crabby.
You may want to stay away for a little while.
Summer is almost over. I am relieved. I will be happy to start getting regular paychecks again. I will be happy to have a routine again. I will also be happy to hang out with Mrs. Rocketship everyday. I will be happy to get out of the house for a solid 8 hours. I will be happy to be a productive member of society again.
I think I needed this time though. I needed a few months to decompress from the years of two jobs and constant financial stress. I needed to worry about just me for a few months and pretend to be a lady who lunches.
Next school year not so much. I already have school, babysitting, and work with the parks and rec lined up. So hopefully I will be able to stock a lot away to help get my new life underway in style. : )
I was diagnosed with a weird head thing called Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (or Pseudotumor Cerebri). This is my blog about living with it.

Benedryl.
huh?
Although it might not help my cold a ton I certainly don't care as much at the moment.
Today there is nothing profound. There is nothing insightful. There is just a lot of snot and coughing.
Tomorrow I will talk about blood pressure. Maybe.

Boogers.
I have a terrible cold.
It is terrible.
I am terrible.
I took a Benedryl and am sleepy but still coughing so I don't think I can sleep in bed because then everything will drain and I will not be able to fall asleep because I will be coughing and it will be terrible.
I think I should take a shower.
Then I could sleep a little later tomorrow.

Cold
Gah.
I have developed a cold. It seems to be residing in my throat so my voice is slightly gravely. I should maybe think about recording my blues album this week.
The sinus headache that accompanies it is not especially enjoyable either.
Someday soon I will catch a break.

Chapped Lips and Vomit.
I threw up three times yesterday.
I don't know why I threw up.
I do know that the first time I coughed, had a sharp pain in my head, and then I heaved. The other times were post cough as well. I felt terrible all day.
I went to help the homeless though. Mostly because I didn't know how to get a hold of anyone to cancel. It was a good thing too because there was a skeleton crew. I did not go near the food.
I feel better today. I have been able to eat. I have been trying to stay extra hydrated. My lips are chapped.
My head still hurts when I cough. No vomit has been seen. It is staying in my stomach where it belongs.
That's something I have never thought of. You always have vomit in your body. You just don't call it vomit until it exits your body. So there is potential vomit INSIDE of me right now. This is a mind blowing realization. And even if you haven't eaten in a while there are still stomach acids that you can throw up. So there is ALWAYS potential vomit in your body. Lurking. Waiting.
I think I need a nap.

Roy: Chapter 2
My family experienced a tragedy this weekend. It was slightly heartbreaking, but a large development in the life and times of Rotting Roy.
I knocked off his stem.
It was such a nice day outside on Sunday that I decided to get my bike off the stand and take that baby outside. I put my Bobby Kindal and my cell phone in the basket and I went to roll it down the exterior stairs. Otherwise known as Rotting Roy's domain. As I was trying to get the bike down the stairs we had a run in with Roy. He did not survive intact.
Poor poor Roy.
On the plus side for you, my dedicated readers, it inspired me to create another Roy post. A development this big just must be documented.
Roy looks terrible.
He looks slightly flat, and white, and moldy. His skin has also taken on a papery quality. I am concerned about his health.
My cookies were a huge hit at school today. I was told that people were passing around my file as well as eating so hopefully they learned something. My nose is still full of snot. Tomorrow is my spinal tap. I called and it is still scheduled, but no one seems to know what to do with me.
Story of my life.

| Just wanted to remind you what Roy looked like in the previous post. |

Sick Day
Today I was sick.
My cold was bleh but my head. My head. My head.
I think it was a combination of sinus headache and pressure headache. All I know is that it was like it was caught in a vice. So I called it, took a benedryl, and proceeded to pass out until noon.
Then I managed to bake 5 and a half dozen cookies for Rare Disease Day.
Bleh.
